血桐的葉子可做binaluerva的包材及盤子使用，最外層為血桐葉、中間為南瓜或佛手瓜葉、內層為假酸漿葉包覆著顆粒狀小米。挑選時以老葉為主，嫩葉包覆時容易破損，其莖亦可做鋤頭柄使用。

照片中小米為本場協助在地小米異地保存，並將精選繁殖的小米返還部落，為深化保種與傳承的意義，達魯瑪克部落舉行隆重的迎接小米儀式；當日小米在放入祖靈屋前，會先祭拜天神、祖靈及地靈儀式，之後再做入倉儀式。
